Dear Friends,
As I sit here watching the snow fall down in big, beautiful flakes tonight, I'm so thankful for the unusual blessing of snow in SC twice in one winter! I was supposed to be singing tonight at Bethel Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, but the church decided to extend their revival through Thursday night and invited me to come then instead of tonight so I wouldn't have to travel in the snow that is accumulating in the upstate.
Last Wednesday night at our church's Student Ministries, we had a celebration service because we are now half-way through with our B90D (reading the Bible in 90 days). So many students gave such incredible testimonies of how spending daily time in the Word of God has meant so much to them, and how life-changing it has been. In one of her daily readings in 1 Chronicles, Hannah wrote a song entitled "Praise You More" and shared it with the group. What a moving service it was, and I felt so grateful to be a part of something this big in the lives of these awesome students. For me, this is my 2nd time reading the Bible through, and I love the new things the Lord is showing me. His Word is alive and active!
In my personal reading time, the Scripture that has stuck out the most so far is found in 2 Kings 18:5-7, which says: "Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the kings of Judah, either before him or after him. He held fast to the Lord and did not cease to follow him; he kept the commands the Lord had given Moses. And the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook."
What grabbed my attention was that "Hezekiah trusted in the Lord...there was no one like him, either before or after him...he held fast to the Lord and did not cease to follow him." And the Lord? "The Lord was with him." God's Word tells us that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. After reading about so many kings that "did what was right in the eyes of the Lord," and then those that didn't, King Hezekiah stuck out to me, apart from all the others. There was no one like him, the Bible says, before or after him. Trusting in the Lord with a steadfast heart, I believe, is what made the difference in his life and the man and leader that he was. I want to be like Hezekiah in my life..to trust the Lord and never cease to follow him, knowing that the Lord will always be with me. And I seek to be successful in all He gives me to undertake for His glory alone. What an incredible thing to have said about us when this life is all said and done...that we never ceased to follow the Lord, no matter the circumstances, challenges, disappointments, tragedies...no matter what, to stay on course, holding fast to the One Who promises He will always be with us.
I am thankful for a busy month in ministry and appreciate your prayers for each place the Lord has allowed me to serve Him and His people.

Thank you for taking the time to hear from us. Jennifer has had an incredibly busy month of February juggling all of the inquiries for hosting my ministry, and would love to hear from you as she is still working to fill the summer and fall for this year, as well as scheduling into next year. We are excited about all the opportunities the Lord is allowing. If your church has a summer concert series, please consider passing my name along. I'd love to come!
If I am in your area, come over and say hello. If not, we always love to receive your notes and emails.
My challenge to you today is this: Seek to trust the Lord with all of your heart; Never ceasing to hold fast to the Lord. He will be with you.
He is faithful,
Dawn
